CLBC Team
Takes Time to Have Fun on Carriacou!

All on the team worked very hard and conducted
themselves with biblical dignity. Yet, that also managed to find time to
have a lot of fun. They enjoyed Carriacou, the warm Caribbean sea, and
experienced the interesting
West Indian culture. See for yourself.

During Vacation Bible school and other times as well, each
one had bouts of silliness to let off steam. Below is just a sampling.

Pastor Brent hams it up!

Apparently, Daniel could not wait to go to the beach as a
group. He fell into the sea when boarding the Osprey Sea Ferry in St.
George's! |

Ben Edwards imitates a Walrus? |

Wesley, we told to behave or else ... |

Jeshua literally gets carried away by 'Banana Man'
(Matt), while Kara flexes her muscles. |

'Yeah!' P.J. simply could not contain his
exuberance anymore! |

Did ya notice that most of those getting crazy were
guys? I Wonder why...

Seeing the Sites
The team took a day or two to see Carriacou and many of its
beautiful sights. We also gathered them into our church bus and one they
rented, and took them all on a
personal tour to see most of the more scenic points.

The team also had a chance
to look around Carriacou's only town of
Hillsborough.

Getting Some Souvenirs
As most tourist, the folks from West Virginia were
eager to find mementos to take back with them. They quickly learned how
to strike bargains to get better prices from local venders and shops. They
seemed to enjoy that almost as much as getting the actual items.

After being dropped off in town, the folks split up in
quest of finding West Indian goodies. |

Some check out the goods on the sidewalk. |

Others enter into intense 'negotiations' to
stretch their EC Dollars as much as possible. |

Checking out the Beach
Naturally, they took out time to make some trips to the
beach. They favored
Paradise
Beach, which has beautiful white sand and bathtub warm water.

Let's play a 'friendly' game of beach ball! |

Everyone plays! |

Uh ..., you did say a friendly game, didn't you? |

Some of the men mellowed out (er... I think they call it
'chilling out'). |

Others went head over heals to get wet, wild, and
crazy! |

The ladies enjoyed soaking and each other's company. |

Getting Some Photos
I believe most in the group brought
cameras with them, and they naturally wanted to get some photos to remind
them of Carriacou. Below is a sampling taken from the teams official
photographer, Dan Nelson. (His shots are excellent!)

This is a sunrise over Carriacou's sister island, Petit
Martinique. (a.k.a., PM). |

This sunset was taken while the team was at
Paradise Beach. (Absolutely beautiful) |

Taken from the
"Top Road' in
Dover with PM in the distance (about 3.25 miles away). |

Taken where
WBC began with preaching here by the beach in Windward every Sunday
for a year beginning in June of 1992. |

The trademark sight of Carriacou as seen from the
Princes
Royal Hospital in Belair. Sandy Island is in the top right. |

Close up of
Sandy Island from the same location. (Very good camera, huh?) |

As you can see, even though the teams come to Carriacou to work hard and
perform serious work for the Lord, they are still able to have lots of fun and
enjoy themselves. I hope that this team will serve as an inspiration to
others to come and do likewise.
