First, Who is Jesus, and What Did He Do?
Dear Precious Visitor,
As a pastor, minister of the gospel, and missionary, I cannot stress the
following enough. It is absolutely imperative that each person know exactly who Jesus
is and what He has done before they put their faith in Him. The Bible
warns that there is a false Gospel that promotes another 'Jesus.'
(Galatians 1:6-9 and 12 Corinthians 11:4) That gospel and Jesus can do nothing
for you but deceive you. The true Jesus that provides true salvation is
identified as follows.
Briefly and simply stated, Jesus is God the Creator who clothed Himself in human
flesh. (John 1:1-3, 14.) He is also the 'Lord' of Abraham (John 5:18, 8:56, and
10:30-33) who gave the Law to Moses (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58) in the Old
Testament. He was also resurrected bodily on the third day according to the
Scriptures. (Luke 24:36-43, John 20:26-29, and 1 Corinthians
15:3-4) This is the Jesus in whom our trust must be placed. (Romans 10:9-10)

sto per farti la domanda più importante della vita. La tua gioia o la tua
sofferenza per tutta l’eternità dipendono dalla tua risposta. E la domanda è:
sei salvato? Non si tratta di sapere se sei buono o se sei membro di una chiesa.
No, ma sei salvato? Sei sicuro di andare in Paradiso, quando morirai?
Dio dice che per andare in Paradiso, tu devi
nascere di nuovo. Infatti, secondo il Vangelo di Giovanni 3:7, Gesù disse a
Nicodemo: “Dovete nascere di nuovo”.
Nella Bibbia Dio ci rivela il Suo piano per far sì
che nasciamo di nuovo, il che significa essere salvati. E il Suo piano è
semplice! Tu puoi essere salvato oggi stesso. Come?
Prima di tutto, devi ammettere di essere un
peccatore. Infatti, “. . . tutti hanno
peccato e sono privi della gloria di Dio” (Romani
3:23).
E siccome sei un peccatore, sei condannato a morte:
“. . . il salario del peccato è la morte . .
.” (Romani 6:23).
Questo comporta una separazione eterna da Dio
nell’Inferno: “E come è stabilito che gli
uomini muoiano una sola volta, e dopo ciò viene il giudizio”
(Ebrei 9:27).
Dio però ti ha tanto amato che ha dato il Suo
unico Figlio, Gesù, affinché il tuo peccato fosse imputato a Lui e morisse al
tuo posto: “. . . Egli
(Dio Padre) ha
fatto essere peccato per noi Colui (Gesù)
che non ha conosciuto peccato, affinché noi
potessimo diventare giustizia di Dio in Lui”
(2 Corinzi 5:21).
Gesù quindi dovette versare il Suo sangue e morire.
Infatti, “. . . la vita della carne è nel
sangue. ” (Levitico 17:11) e
“. . . senza spargimento di sangue non c’è perdono
dei peccati” (Ebrei 9:22).
“Ma Dio manifesta il suo amore verso di noi in
questo che, mentre eravamo ancora peccatori, Cristo è morto per noi”
(Romani 5:8).
Sebbene non possiamo capire come, Dio ha detto che
i miei peccati ed i tuoi peccati sono stati imputati a Gesù, e che Egli è morto
al posto nostro. Egli è diventato il nostro sostituto e questo è vero, perché
Dio non può mentire.
Amico mio, “.
. . Dio comanda a tutti gli uomini e dappertutto che si ravvedano”.
(Atti 17:30). Questo ravvedimento o pentimento comporta un cambiamento di
mentalità per cui si concorda con Dio sul fatto che ogni essere umano è un
peccatore, ed anche si riconosce quanto Gesù ha fatto per noi sulla Croce.
Negli Atti degli Apostoli 16:30-31, il carceriere
di Filippi chiese a Paolo e a Sila:
“Signori, cosa devo fare per essere salvato?”
Ed essi risposero: “Credi nel Signore Gesù
Cristo, e sarai salvato. . .”
Credi, dunque, semplicemente in Gesù come Colui al
quale è stato imputato il tuo peccato, come Colui che è morto al posto tuo, fu
sepolto e che Dio ha risuscitato. E la sua risurrezione ci assicura in maniera
assoluta che il credente ha diritto alla vita eterna quando Gesù viene accettato
come Salvatore: “ma a tutti coloro che lo
hanno ricevuto, egli ha dato l’autorità di diventare figli di Dio, a quelli che
credono nel suo nome” (Giovanni 1:12).
“Infatti: <<Chiunque avrà invocato il nome del
Signore sarà salvato>>” (Romani 10:13). Quel
“chiunque” comprende anche te, e “sarà salvato” significa che sarai
effettivamente salvato.
Quindi, prima di tutto, devi renderti conto del
fatto che sei un peccatore. Poi, proprio ora, chiunque tu sia, pentendoti, eleva
il tuo cuore a Dio in preghiera. Nel Vangelo di Luca 18:13, un peccatore così
pregò: “O Dio, sii placato verso me
peccatore”. Anche tu allora prega così:
“Mio Dio, riconosco di essere peccatore. Credo
che Gesù è stato il mio sostituto quando morì sulla croce. Credo che quel
versamento di sangue, quella morte, quel seppellimento e quella risurrezione
avvennero per me. Ora quindi Lo accetto quale mio Salvatore. Ti ringrazio per
aver perdonato I miei peccati, per il dono della salvezza e della vita eterna,
dono dovuto alla Tua grazia che scaturisce dalla Tua misericordia. Amen”.
Prendi Dio in parola e chiedi di essere salvato
mediante la tua fede in Gesù. Nessuna chiesa, nessuna organizzazione, né le
buone opere possono salvarti. Ricordati: è Dio che salva - solo Lui!
Dunque, il semplice piano salvifico di Dio è
questo: tu sei un peccatore. Di conseguenza, se non credi in Gesù che morì al
tuo posto, passerai l’eternità nell’Inferno. Se invece credi in Lui come il tuo
Salvatore, crocifisso, sepolto e risorto, riceverai il perdono di tutti i tuoi
peccati ed il dono della salvezza eterna per fede.
Forse potresti dire: “Non è possibile che tutto
sia così semplice!” Ma sì, è proprio così semplice! E’ quello che leggiamo nella
Bibbia. E’ il piano di Dio. Sì, amico mio, credi in Gesù ed accettalo oggi quale
tuo Salvatore. Se però questo piano non ti è del tutto chiaro, leggi e rileggi
questo messaggio, senza metterlo da parte finché non l’hai capito bene. La tua
anima vale più di tutto il mondo. Infatti leggiamo nel Vangelo di Marco 8:36,
“Che gioverà infatti all’uomo guadagnare il
mondo intero, se poi perde l’anima sua?”
Accertati di essere salvato. Se perdi l’anima tua,
perdi il Paradiso e perdi tutto. Ti prego! Lascia che Dio ti salvi in questo
istante! La potenza di Dio ti salverà, e ti salverà per sempre e ti farà
condurre una vita vittoriosa: “Nessuna
tentazione vi ha finora colti se non umana; or Dio è fedele e non permetterà che
siate tentati oltre le vostre forze, ma con la tentazione vi darà anche la via
d’uscita, affinché la possiate sostenere” (1
Corinzi 10:13).
Non fidarti dei tuoi sentimenti, che cambiano.
Attieniti alle promesse di Dio, che non cambiano mai.
Dopo essere stato salvato, vi sono tre cose che
devi fare ogni giorno per crescere spiritualmente: prega, perché così parlerai
con Dio; leggi la Bibbia, perché così Iddio ti parlerà; testimonia, perché così
tu parlerai di Dio ad altri.
Ora però devi anche essere battezzato, obbedendo
così tu al Signore Gesù Cristo, dando una testimonianza pubblica della tua
salvezza; e poi devi far parte, al più presto, di una chiesa che crede nella
Bibbia - “Non vergognarti dunque della
testimonianza del Signor nostro. . .” (2
Timoteo 1:8). Poiché, dice il Signore,
“Chiunque perciò mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, io pure lo riconoscerò
davanti al Padre mio che è nei cieli” (Matteo
10:32).

If you live in a Muslim or Communist country, or any other place
that may be hostile to the Good News of Jesus Christ and His finished work, I fully understand
that you may not want to have someone communicating back to you with e-mails
that could possibly be intercepted by others. Thus, I will not send you any

Yet, it is important that you tell someone about your new
faith in Christ. You should not be ashamed of who Jesus is to you now. (Psalm
107:1-2, Luke 9:26, Romans 1:16) If you
tell me, I will endeavor to pray for you and have those in our local assembly of

As a new member of God's personal family, you should seek out a
good church and fellow believers with whom to fellowship. You should also take
the first step in following the Lord as a disciple, which is identifying
yourself as a believer that has been born again by the spirit of God. That step
is simply following the Lord in believers baptism by immersion in water that
symbolizes your death to your old way of life, and your spiritual rebirth and
walking in the new life God has given you. (Romans 6:1-3)

Bible, I suggest that you attend our services virtually by listening to our
messages in MP3 format posted here on LCM.
