VR Movie of Hillsborough, Carriacou's only town, as seen from the town's jetty When the image first loads and becomes viewable, you are looking southeast and directly at the "Carriacou & Petit Martinique Memorial Centre" operated by the Grenada Board of Tourism. Directly to the right and behind the Tourism Center is the white two story building housing the Carriacou division of the Grenadian Royal Police Department (bottom right end) and Grenada Immigrations (to the left of the police department). As you continue to pan right you see Bullen's Super Centre (white with green boarder at bottom). The road just to the right of the Super Centre goes westward toward the airport. A littler further right is a taxi parking area bordered by various shops. Continuing around and opposite the Tourist Center you are looking north west and out over the Hillsborough Jetty (Click here to see another VR movie from the Jetty). The beige building trimmed in brown is Grenada Customs (where the truck is sitting). Further right is the central government building, and the entrance closest to the viewer is to the post office. Further inside is the Inland Revenue Department. Panning more to the right you are looking north east through Hillsborough. On up this road a hundred yards or so is beautiful beach! The older building you see next is the Bullen's Lumbar store.
Hillsborough continue to improve each year with pavement and buildings
being modernized. I normally hate going to town, but Hillsborough is
still small and simple enough to remain relatively "user-friendly" and
