It is easy to report the history, lore and legend,
and what others believe about the enigmatic and controversial topics of UFOs
and ETs (or aliens from space). I have written a nonfiction book on this
topic (The Final Empire) that goes into great detail as to what
and why I believe on this subject. I am thinking of making that book available
here on LCM in PDF format one day -- but we will see. In the mean time, I am going
to present my brief and personal perspective on this matter here.
There are as many ideas, beliefs, and possible scenarios
concerning the ET and UFO phenomenon as their are people. I provide the
following in brief to show what I
believe the phenomenon is about and what could happen if something happens
to prove that this enigmas truly do exist and are here on earth for all to see.
A Succinct Bible Prophecy
Concerning the Last of the Last Days
(and the role that ETs and UFOs could play)
"About the time of the End, a body of men
will be raised up who will turn their attention to the prophecies, and
insist on their literal interpretation in the midst of much clamor and
opposition."
Sir Isaac Newton (A.D.
1643-1727)
"The scientist has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer
the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by
a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."
Dr. Robert Jastrow, internationally known
astronomer.
From an
article entitled, "Have Astronomers Found God?" p. 53, July 1980
issue of Reader’s Digest. Condensed from the June 25, 1978 issue of
the New York Times Magazine.
At its plain or literal sense, the Bible predicts that there is a day yet future when all those
who have who have put their trust in Jesus
Christ for the forgiveness of sins and salvationwill literally and miraculously be
changed (1 Corinthians 15:51-54), and
then 'caught up' to meet Jesus in the
atmosphere (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). This
is not referring to an event where all those who merely claim to believe in
Jesus will be taken. Nor is it referring to those who have joined a church, been
baptized, offered many prayers, and practiced many good deeds. Many of the
missing will have practiced and did these things, as all true believers should,
but these in themselves will not qualify a person to be taken.
Those will have been taken on that day will be those who have
obeyed the gospel as Jesus as revealed it to through His apostles. To learn
more, you may view our pages that explain our beliefs,
how to become a child of God, and a
page that describes the Person and work of Jesus Christ.
The Bible indicates that this event will take place
in a secretive manner just as a thief comes in the night. (1 Thessalonians
5:1-2) In addition, it also says this supernatural way of transporting people
has already occurred to a person named Enoch. (Genesis 5:24, Hebrews 11:5)
Sometimes this event is called the rapture, which is from a Latin word
(rapturo, derived from raptus) that means to suddenly seize,
snatch, carry away something.
In simple and plain words, the Bible promises
that on some unknown future day, hundreds of thousands -- and likely even
millions -- will suddenly vanish from off the face of the earth from all over
the world and at the same time. This event will take place without warning,
without visible means of cause, and leaving the world without scientific
explanation.
How Do I believe
The World
Will React to the Rapture?
Unfortunately, not
as this
newspaper mock up depicts
I served as NICAP’s investigator for the state of West Virginia during the
mid seventies, and I investigated several reported sightings.
In 1992, while here on Carriacou, I contacted the Jay Allen Hynek Center for UFO
Studies (CUFOS) in Chicago by phone and asked if they had my old reports.
About a month later I received a folder from CUFOs that contained my reports --
and I still have them today.
I have been studying
UFOs and ETs (aliens from space)
for a long time. I was once an ardent follower and believer in this phenomenon,
and also believed it was good and doing something good for mankind. Frankly, I
did not like to hear or read skeptical reports about it. I especially hated to
hear religious folks talk about the matter, most because they were clueless to
the facts, and also because I did not like talking about God and right and
wrong. But after having lived the life of a believer in wake of my experiences
with the phenomenon, I believe there is much that needs to be said.
I have talked to a number of people personally
that are in the know; including; Linda Howe, an Emmy award winning producer,
investigator, and author whom I consider a friend; former military personnel
(including one with former top secret security clearance), a former Prime
Minister of Grenada, the late Sir Eric Gairy, who addressed the United Nations
and asked them to look into the issue of UFOs and Extraterrestrials, etc. All my
research has led me to say the following.
Many people
will not believe it will have been the rapture that will have led to the
disappearance of millions, and why
I believe that when
the rapture (the catching away of all true Christian believers
from off earth) occurs, the majority of people left on earth will not
believe that it happened because the Biblical Jesus has taken them. I say so
because of the following.
First, only a very
small segment of the world today has even heard of the rapture or the
Biblical Catching Away. There are more now than a decade or so back
because of recent bestselling books and a few movies. By by and large, the
rapture is a 'mystery' that only Biblical Christians that are true
students of the word know about and understand.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Thessalonians 4:51-52)
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we
which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not
prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump
of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which
are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1
Thessalonians 4:15-17)
Second, there are too many religious people -- 'Christian' and non-Christian
alike -- that will remain on earth after the event. Many living today who
believe they are a 'Christian' have merely embraced a 'Christian religion'
instead of Jesus Himself. Just one Biblical passage that comes to mind on this
subject is:
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my
Father which is in heaven. 22Many will
say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in
thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto
a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon
that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And
every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be
likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall
of it. (Matthew 7:21-27)
Such have not 'Biblically' accepted the 'Biblical' Jesus Christ personally as
Lord and Savior. Thus, when the rapture occurs, they will be 'left
behind.'
Think of those that will have made a profession of faith in Christ, been
baptized or christened, and joined the 'right' church -- but will still remain
on earth. "Surely, ..." they will object, "... it could not have been Jesus that
took all those people because I am still here!"
Third, Jesus stated ...
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John
14:6)
12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Even now I can envision a talk
show where religious experts from the leading denominations discuss the matter.
Many Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and 'Christians' may disagree and deem me to be
'intolerant,' but this is what the Bible says. Those who check a Bible
for his or herself will see that I have not 'interpreted' anything. I have only
reprinted it here to be read.
If the Christian Bible is indeed
true -- as I believe it to be -- then those in no other religion will be taken
-- unless they had at one time previously been Biblically born again by faith in
Christ. Read on a little further to see why I say this.
Forth and last, there are far
too many true believers today that are living like they are not. Many practice
open immorality, lying, cheating, stealing, joining another religion, etc. God
does chasten His children who engage in such, but the chastening process takes
time because of God's mercy and patience.
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that
judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou
that judgest doest the same things. 2But we are sure that the
judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such
things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5But
after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath
against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
(Romans 2:1-5)
For many the rapture will
occur before God's chastening will have completed its work -- one way or the
other. (See Hebrews 12:5-11 and the following:)
-
16If any man see his brother sin a sin
which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them
that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he
shall pray for it. (1 John 5:16)
-
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat
this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty
of the body and blood of the Lord. 28But let a man examine himself,
and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29For
he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to
himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30For this cause many
[believers] are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep [as in death
as used in 1 Thess. 4:14]. (1 Corinthians 11:27)
No matter how sinful and
worthless a backslidden believer may appear -- and often beyond human
understanding -- these folk will still be saved and taken in the rapture.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid,
which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; (that which is worthless as
a child of God) 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the
day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall
try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide
which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If
any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be
saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:11)
Thus, when true believers
that are walking in Biblical disobedience vanish with the others, many left
behind will readily object to the idea that it was Jesus had taken His
'righteous ones' in the rapture.
Most people believe
that salvation from sin, escape from eternal damnation, and going to heaven is
reserved for those that are righteous. But the world's view of righteousness is
that which is obtained and maintained by good works and deeds -- not by genuine
faith in Christ and His finished work.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works,
lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10. Also compare Romans 2:1-7 and 10:9-10)
As I hope many will see from the
above reprinted passage, there is a place for good works and deeds. However, it
is something that a believer practices after they have been saved. It is not
what they do to be saved.
Thus, it is not righteous deeds
or ongoing righteous behavior that makes a person eligible for heaven or the
rapture. As a consequence, many that may appear not to be saved will
also have vanished. This will also help convince many that are left behind that
the Biblical Jesus had nothing to do with the disappearance of millions from all
regions of earth.
There will be a few left on
earth that will recognize what has happened. Some will be those who had
been lead astray in some 'Christian' churches that taught the false doctrine
that salvation is gained by faith in Christ coupled with some type of
religious ritual. (Romans 11:6 and Galatians 5:2-5) These will be those that
were never saved by grace through faith apart from works, but had made a
profession of faith in Christ that was not based upon the Word of God. There
will also be some that had previously heard the gospel, but not understood it;
or understood it but did not believe it. Which ever the case, they will have
never made a profession of faith in Christ. In any of the stated case stated
here, some will have heard about the rapture and will then know what has
happened.
However, it will be different
for those that had previously heard and understood the Gospel, but had refused
or delayed to receive Jesus and His marvelous gift of eternal life. The
Bible states that after the rapture such will be deceived and believe
anything but the truth. For such, once the rapture has taken place
they will have no more opportunity for being saved.
-
11And for this cause God shall send them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all
might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)
-
2For he saith, I have heard thee in a time
accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured [i.e., 'helped']
thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of
salvation.) (2 Corinthians 6:2)
- 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh
shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of
the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatian 6:7-8)
In any case, most of
the world will not be willing to listen to the claims of the few that will know
the truth by then. In time, those who continue to verbally insist that it was
indeed Jesus that had come and taken His church will see most on earth turning
against them in everyway possible. Most will not want to hear the real truth,
and they will take steps to silence those that are trying to proclaim it --
using whatever means they will believe necessary.
If the Biblical rapture will be
ruled out by most as the explanation for the vanishing of millions of people
around the world, what will most of humanity believe? What explanation will they
believe.
The Greatest 'Spin' On one of the most
remarkable Events to occur in the History of the World
Satan will
have already set a stage to put a favorable spin on his defeat and forced
eviction from the second heaven (outer space) [Rev. 12:7-9, 12:13, 13:1] and for
his coming and appearing openly on earth. When he is forced down to earth he will
come in such a manner that will make it seem that he is coming voluntarily. He
will seek to convince many that he is
merely a highly advanced and powerful being with superior technology and
unbeatable weaponry (Rev. 13:4)
from another planet, solar system -- or perhaps even another dimension. He will
likely appear to be an extraterrestrial with a reptilian nature. Other supposed
aliens that will ultimately accompany him will
likely appear to have an amphibious nature. [Rev.
16:13]
The
reptilian ET will have much to do with the rise to prominence and power of one
from among human kind. This special man will be a man, but more than all other men
of earth -- much as Jesus was a man, but also much more. Aliens could even claimed
that this man is a hybrid, i.e., one that is
partly human and partly extraterrestrial, and probably created through genetic
engineering and/or cloning conducted by the reptilian extraterrestrial.
The Bible
does describe how a being will appear on Earth one day that will be the
incarnation of all the New Age Movement portrays him to be. In the Old Testament
this being is called:
-
The “seed” (lit. Hebrew, the offspring) of the “serpent” in
Genesis 3:15
-
The “little horn” in Daniel 8:9
-
The “prince that shall come” in
Daniel 9:26
-
One who comes on the
wing of detestable things (lit. Hebrew, rendering) in Daniel 9:27
-
The “vile person” in Daniel 11:21
-
The “king” who will “magnify himself above every god” in
Daniel 11:36
The Scripture also says that this
one will:
-
“... speak marvelous
things against the God of gods” in Daniel 11:36
-
Not “regard” (lit. Hebrew, give heed to or distinguish)
the “God of his fathers in Daniel 11:37
-
Not regard (give heed to or distinguish) the “desire (lit. Hebrew,
the delight) of women” in Daniel 11:37
-
Not regard (give heed to or distinguish) all other “gods”
in Daniel 11:37
-
Honor the “god
of forces” (Literally a god of 'safety' or protection) Daniel 11:38
-
Work with “a strange god” in Daniel 11:39.
In the New Testament, this being is
the one who:
-
Will falsely claim to be “Christ” in Matthew 24:5
-
Will come in
“his own name” in John 5:43
-
Is the “man of sin” and the “son of perdition” (i.e.,
destruction) who will show “himself that he is God” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3
-
Will be empowered to work [the lit. Grk. understanding is . . . ] “all power
(supernatural ability) and signs (supernatural attesting events) and wonders
(amazements) all of a lie (falsehood)” in 2 Thessalonians 2:9
The “Antichrist”
in 1 John 4:3
-
Will be known as the “beast” in Revelation 13:1
-
Will receive power
from a spiritual being who has the reptilian appearance of a “dragon” (actually
called a serpent in Revelation 12:9) in Revelation 13:2
-
Will appear to have been “wounded to death” but will
live in Revelation 13:3
-
Shall share “worship” with the “dragon” from all the world
in Revelation 13:4
-
Will eventually be “cast alive into a lake of fire” in
Revelation 19:20.
Whether it is Eastern religions,
cults, the occult, ETs, spirit guides, ascended masters, higher selves, angels,
or even the 'Space Brothers,' they all focus their attention on and portray Jesus
Christ as an advanced “master” with certain common tenets. They also
claim that one day this same master will come to Earth to help lift humanity to
the next step of evolution.
I believe this so-called
master has been thoroughly described in the proceeding paragraphs. It seems the
New Age Movement, the UFO/ET phenomenon, and theories of evolution are
design to mentally condition humanity to receive both this “Christ” and his
“reptilian Master” with open arms. I believe this totally engulfing mental
conditioning process is the overriding thrust of the New Age Movement.
Satan himself, i.e., the reptilian or dragon type ET, will
claim that he has come to protect those on earth. He will claim that he
will help earth repel and defeat a coming so-called false God that
has used a false religion to oppress and subject inferior humans into serving
him for nearly 6000 years (Rev. 13:6). He may also claim that this 'false' God has
already came and taken the weaker minded of earth to forcibly alter and
enlist them into his forces. The reptilian ET will
likely claim that this false God is preparing to
come en mass with His forces to conquer and enslave all of humanity, and
also take control of the
natural resources of earth.
Satan will likely claim that
this 'false' God is merely another extraterrestrial from another solar system that
will only claim to be Jesus Christ, the God of Christianity. He will
also claim that this 'Jesus' has technology and advanced abilities that only made him appear to
be a god to simple and ancient humans.
Satan will also likely claim that he will
be able to defeat the coming 'false' God only if all of humanity unites with
and fight along side him and his forces, while also working with his
designated chosen leader for humankind (Antichrist).
This scenario makes the most sense to me in light of
what Psalm 2, Revelation 16:13-16 and Revelation 19:11-13, and 19 says.
Think for a moment. What people in their right
minds would knowingly go to battle against the God who created this universe and
is all powerful. Satan will convince people that the Jesus coming from heaven is not a god or the
God. He will also convince mankind that this Jesus can be defeated, and by thus,
not all powerful as God truly is. He will convince most of the world that Jesus is
much like him, and able to be defeated if met with enough resistance and force.
This is the only way I can make sense out the passages mentioned immediately above
that
speak about mankind uniting together to fight against a God that will arrive
from heaven.
Closing Remarks
I admit that I could be totally wrong about all
this. So there is no need to email me to say so. I have no dogma on this that I
hold to. I am still studying, reading, asking questions, and hopefully learning.
The great thing about websites and web pages is that they are dynamic. So is
this document. I may later revise it if I believe the need arises.
I also admit that I have taken considerable
creative license with what I have written here. I do not know exactly how things
will actually unfold and occur. I have seen no vision and I have not been
visited by angels (or ETs!). Yet, I believe something along these
very lines will happen some time after, if not immediately after the rapture
takes place. I believe increasing numbers of other believers that take the
Bible at its plain sense will find that this scenario makes frightening sense.
There is much more I could say, but I have tried
to succinctly and precisely say this in the fewest words possible. You can take
it for it you believe it is worth.
I remember a Man who was killed nearly two thousand years ago
because He revealed truth that ran contrary to the beliefs of the majority of
that day. He also exposed evil in the ruling religious and
political arenas of His time. His name was Jesus Christ.
For those who do not know Him
personally and think Him still to be dead, I have two questions for you. What if He was
telling the truth in everything He said in person -- and through his apostles? And
-- what if He is not dead?
On another place in LCM, I have produced a document that, I believe,
conclusively proves from historical facts that Jesus is the Messiah of which
Daniel spoke in Daniel 9. Click here to
go to that page and see if you agree.
I believe Jesus told the truth.
I also believe that after He was put to death, He was resurrected and is living
in heaven today waiting for the proper time to return to earth. This is the
foremost impetus for me presenting this material.
If everything Jesus said is
indeed true, then humanity and its history is not the result of an 'accident' or a
freak of nature. Nor is the current and very real phenomenon of ETs and UFOs
some fable or mere science fiction good only for idle entertainment. The phenomenon is the result
of a carefully thought out and executed plan by a 'Master' strategist and his
legions of workers. This Master is no other than the Dragon of heaven, the
serpent, the devil, and the one known as Satan and Lucifer. This Master and his
workers are playing for keeps, and it behooves all to learn their game and take
the necessary steps to help ourselves and loved ones from falling victim to
their plan.
Surely, Jesus is the Way, the
truth, and the life. (John 14:6) Need a life? Get Jesus. (Romans
10:9-10 and Ephesians 2:8-9)
